Job summary

Waymo is building the Waymo Driver, a leading autonomous driving platform. This role supports the AI Foundations team to advance data systems and ML infrastructure powering foundation models used in autonomous driving.

You will collaborate with ML researchers and platform teams, delivering scalable data solutions and robust components that enable safer, more capable driver tech across cities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, ML, Robotics or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience building or maintaining large-scale data pipelines or ML infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on SWE skills and large codebase development.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate petabyte-scale data systems and ML pipelines for foundation model development.
• shepherd foundation models from research prototypes to robust components within Waymo Driver.
• Develop automated, high-performance infrastructure for data solutions deployment and monitoring.
• Wield large-scale compute and frameworks to process massive datasets for training and evaluation.
