Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding in Statesville, NC is seeking a detail-oriented technician to perform compounding, weighing, mixing, and processing of materials while ensuring safe operation of all equipment throughout the facility.

You will follow formulations, inspect materials and scales, monitor batch consistency, prepare for routine changeovers, and uphold strict safety and cleanliness standards. This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and proactive reporting to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform compounding, weighing, and mixing of materials and safely operate equipment.
• Check raw materials for contamination using color perception; weigh and mix per formulations.
• Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment per procedures.
• Visually inspect batch mixing; report inconsistencies to Production Supervisor.
• Load raw materials and oil into mixer and mix per schedule.
• Monitor mixing conditions and adjust oil setup as needed.
• Keep mixer clean and prepare for changeovers.
• Maintain clean mill area and prevent contamination.
• Ensure efficient machine flow to minimize production loss.
• Report problems to supervision and participate in solutions.
• Safety is a personal responsibility; verify area and equipment safety.
• Check safety equipment and wear PPE; follow rules.
• Lock-out/Tag-out procedures during downtime.
• Keep tools clean and maintain tool boards; keep area organized.
• Maintain equipment in safe operating condition; report to Maintenance.
• Assist in training new Associates as directed.
• Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
