Job summary

Metromont LLC seeks a reliable Mixer Truck Driver to deliver ready-mix concrete to the Precast Plant in Spartanburg, SC, ensuring timely and accurate pours.

You will coordinate pouring with production staff, operate the truck mixer, load and unload, and perform routine maintenance while keeping the yard clean and safe.

Candidates should be able to read a tape measure and blueprints, work as part of a team, and follow verbal instructions; overtime and variable schedules may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete to production area according to direction from bed personnel.
• Coordinate pouring of concrete with designated production area associates.
• Check fluid levels, perform minor maintenance on truck or request maintenance when necessary.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program on all batch plant equipment.
• Operate mixer on truck, make judgements regarding the slumps of concrete.
• Operate loader and help with plant maintenance when needed.
• Meet production concrete delivery schedules.
• Use computerized batching systems.
• Properly load truck, drive truck safely in yard, discharge concrete from truck to forms.
• Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

POSITION PURPOSE

This Mixer Truck Driver operates the ready-mix concrete truck delivering to the Precast Plant.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE

• Sheltered, outdoor environment
• Work area is not climate controlled and may be exposed to changing weather and temperature conditions
• Schedule varies with workload and location
• Unscheduled overtime may be required depending on business needs
