Job summary

Lauren Concrete is seeking a dependable delivery driver for Plant 26 Rockdale, TX who will load, transport and unload concrete while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, ensure accurate tickets and measurements, and uphold a professional image with customers while supporting Lauren Concrete's mission and core values in every shift. This is a full-time role based in Rockdale, with potential for growth within the Operations Department.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (minimum class B).
  • Valid Texas CDL and a clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to lift 45–70 lbs several times a day.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid medical examiner’s card.

Responsibilities

  • Display a positive attitude, a professional appearance and demeanor on all jobs with all customers.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections: clean windshield, side windows, mirrors and cameras each time before leaving the plant or job site, check for fluid leaks, and consult Driver Vehicle Inspection Report notebook.
  • Confirm job site address prior to departure.
  • Maintain a clean truck interior and exterior.
  • Responsible for the process of loading, handling, delivering and unloading of the product, including the slump, load tickets, revolutions, chutes, admixes, etc.
  • Perform post-trip inspection, notifying plant manager of maintenance needs.
  • Understand and/or knowledge with operation of Electronic Logging Device (ELD).

Overview

Job Location: Plant 26 Rockdale – Rockdale, TX 76567. Actively promotes a work environment within the Operations Department that consistently delivers a World Class Experience during the delivery of the concrete. Responsible for delivering quality concrete safely and efficiently while adhering to all Federal, State, and local laws.

Responsibilities
  • Display a positive attitude, a professional appearance and demeanor on all jobs with all customers, both internally and externally.

Education/Experience
  • One to three years of similar or related experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (minimum class B).
  • Valid State of Texas commercial driver’s license required along with a "violation-free" Department of Motor Vehicle record.
