Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a production operator for the Indianapolis facility. The role involves operating and maintaining production equipment, blending ingredients, and ensuring adherence to time and temperature specifications to meet quality standards.

Candidates should have at least 3 months in production or related fields, experience with automated machinery, and familiarity with GMP/ USDA/ FDA/ OSHA environments. SAP experience is required and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • 3 months of experience in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience in a food processing or packaging environment.
  • Experience in an automated machinery environment (with PLCs or MMIs).
  • Experience in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate behaviors that support safety procedures and aim for zero injuries.
  • Document and track production variables, downtime, and product samples.
  • Ensure blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems.
  • Follow and document time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards.
  • Start-up, operate, maintain production processing equipment, and perform shut-down procedures.
  • Scale minor ingredients by weight, count, or bulk flow meters into bins or mixing equipment.
  • Maintain computer-related equipment or control panels to operate automated machinery.
  • Report to the line Team Lead.
  • Work overtime to meet production and maintenance schedules.

$22.00 an hour + $0.5 shift differential

Essential Job Functions

  • Exhibit behaviors that support quality work processes, including documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples.
  • Ensure the blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems.
  • Follow and document time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards.
  • Start-up, operate, maintain production processing equipment, and perform shut-down procedures.
  • Scale minor ingredients by weight, count, or bulk flow meters into bins or mixing equipment according to company-issued recipes.
  • Maintain computer-related equipment or control panels to operate automated machinery.
  • Report to the line Team Lead.
  • Work overtime to achieve production and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications

Essential Physical And Mental Requirements
  • Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty.
  • Lift or push 50+ lbs.
  • Read recipes to mix correct ingredients.
  • Manually transport packaging bags & containers.
  • Stand up to twelve (12) hours.
