Trident Seafoods Corporation is hiring a Mixer to set up, tend, adjust and operate machines that mix or blend product ingredients in our seafood processing environment. You will review batch schedules, handle ingredients, and ensure quality per SOP.
The role requires lifting and handling of product, maintaining clean work areas, and recording batch data. Training in safety and environmental policies is provided; a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency is expected.

Job Summary:
The Mixer willsetup,tend,adjustandoperatethemachines thatmix or blend product ingredients.
Essential Functions:
Reviews Batch Schedule to ensure correct ingredients and amounts are used in each batch.
Lifts frozen product onto pallets or pitches frozen product into crusher.
Weighs or measures ingredients andproductto ensure conformance to requirements.
Operates the Mixer to blend ingredients and adds new ingredients at theappropriate timesthroughout the mix process per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP.)
Observes equipment and alerts maintenance of breakdowns and mechanical problems
Makes minor adjustmentsto equipment to control product flow or adjust colorhue.
Examines ingredients and product visually and with hands in order to ensure conformance toestablishedstandards.
Stops mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities areobtained and open valves andstartspumps to transfer mixture.
Notifies Quality Assurance of any ingredients that may not meet the required standards.
Keepsequipment,toolsandworkarea cleanin accordance withcompanyspecifications.
Records information for each batch mixedper company specifications.
Dismantles and cleans equipment according to standard sanitation proceduresthen reassembles it.
Performs other similar or related duties as requested orassigned.
Acquiresknowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.
Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

3 to6 months food manufacturing experiencepreferredbut notrequired.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or grasp items and reach with hands and arms.
