Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Product Application Engineering Intern for the mixed signal IC product line in the United States. You will support customer design-in activities, develop technical collateral, and perform bench characterization to help bring new products to market.

You'll work cross-functionally with product marketing, management and chip design teams, and gain hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, PCB layout, and reference designs.

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Prefer academic experience in power electronics.
Lab experience with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, curve tracers, network analyzers).
Experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

Support customer design-in activities and review schematics/layouts.
Develop technical collateral (datasheets, reference designs, user guides).
Perform bench characterization for new products.
Create go-to-market technical collateral and design tools.
Collaborate with product marketing/management and chip design teams.
