Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Product Applications Engineering intern to support the mixed-signal IC product line. You will assist in customer design-in activities, contribute to technical collateral, and perform bench characterization for new products.

Collaborate with product marketing, management, and design teams to gather requirements and create go-to-market content. This role offers hands-on experience with industry-leading devices.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or ECE.
  • Prefer academic experience in power electronics.
  • Familiar with MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes.
  • Lab experience with test equipment for debugging electronic components.
  • Experience using schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver on time.
  • Good written and verbal communication; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support customer design-in activities including answering technical questions, schematic & layout reviews, and customer board debug.
  • Develop technical collateral including datasheets, reference designs, user guides, and application notes.
  • Perform bench characterization for new products.
  • Create go-to-market collateral including evaluation boards and design tools for new products.
  • Work cross-functionally with product marketing, product management, and chip design teams.
  • Assist product marketing to collect product and application requirements from customers and internal teams.
