Job summary

Wilkes County Veterinary Services in Washington, Georgia is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) – Mixed Animal Associate to join a growing team. You’ll provide medical, surgical, and emergency care across species, with supportive colleagues in a community-minded clinic.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and Georgia license or eligible.
• Experience in mixed-animal work or strong large-animal interest for new grads.
• Excellent communication and compassionate patient care.
• Team player in a collaborative, community-oriented clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical, surgical, and emergency care for multiple species.
• Conduct physical exams; diagnose and treat medical conditions; manage routine and complex cases.
• Perform surgeries, including farm and field surgeries.
• Deliver preventive care—vaccines, nutrition counseling, herd health, parasite control.
• Complete farm calls and participate in shared on-call duties.
• Work closely with technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records in our practice management system.
• Build strong client relationships with owners who value your expertise.
