Hotham Veterinary Services in Presque Isle, ME is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join our 4-doctor practice across two Maine locations. The role includes diagnosing and treating small and large animals, dentistry, and collaboration with referring veterinarians.

Sign-on bonus up to $25K and potential ownership opportunities are available. We offer modern facilities with ultrasound, full lab, digital radiology, and a supportive team committed to high-quality care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree.
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a veterinary hospital setting (preferred).
• Internship training is also preferred but not required.
• Ability to attain ME Veterinary License.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of small and large animal cases and treat surgically or medically.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians and within our veterinary ecosystem.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Perform dentistry with opportunities for mentorship if desired.
• Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
• Guide and utilize exceptional support staff.
• Collaborate with team veterinarians on critical care cases.
• Diagnose and treat equine cases including dentistry, colic workup, lameness evaluation, and surgery.
• Some dairy, beef, and camelid/small ruminant work is available.

REQUIREMENTS

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
