Job summary

Nexus Employment is hiring a Batch Mixer in Portage, IN to gather, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch recipes and production instructions.

You will operate batching systems, read batch records, cook and prepare finished batches, and keep equipment clean while following safety and quality procedures. Prior batch-mixing or manufacturing experience is preferred; basic computer skills and reliable teamwork are valuable.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or batch mixing is preferred.
• Basic computer skills; PLC experience is a plus.
• Strong math and communication skills; able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Gather, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch recipes.
• Cook and prepare finished batches for production use.
• Read and follow batch records and production instructions.
• Operate batching systems (heated & non-heated).
• Clean and sanitize batching equipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
