Job summary

RW Restoration in Seattle is seeking a Mitigation Technician to respond to emergency water damage, perform structural drying and demolition in residential and commercial settings.

You will work on-call, follow IICRC standards, and deliver exceptional customer service while loading equipment, documenting scopes and dry logs, and collaborating with the Mitigation Project Manager. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, PPE use, and passing background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• IICRC WRT certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in water damage restoration.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical ability assessment, and drug test.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in PPE, including respiratory protection.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation needs on an on-call basis.
• Perform mitigation/restoration per direction of Mitigation Project Manager.
• Load vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies for each project.
• May drive large company box truck to job site.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and equipment.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities.
• Leave job sites with a clean and orderly appearance.
• Communicate openly with crew chiefs and other technicians.
• Perform water mitigation, mold remediation, and other restoration activities as needed.
• Ensure accurate scopes and dry logs throughout the project.
• Take appropriate photo documentation of the project.
• Active listening and problem-solving to address client concerns.

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour, Overtime Eligible. After hours on-call bonus or double time.
