Job summary

RW Restoration in Seattle seeks a Water Mitigation and Demo Specialist to respond to emergency water damage claims and perform structural drying and demolition in accordance with IICRC standards. You will work in both residential and commercial settings, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring safety and quality on every project.

Responsibilities include loading gear, maintaining a tidy job site, documenting scopes and dry logs, and coordinating with Mitigation Project Managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• IICRC WRT certification preferred, not required.
• 1–2 years experience in water damage restoration.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Comfortable working in PPE and lifting up to 100 lbs.

• Drive company box truck to job site when required.

Job Summary

The Water Mitigation and Demo Specialist is responsible for responding to emergency water damage claims and performing structural drying and demolition activities in accordance with IICRC standards. This role involves working in both residential and commercial settings and requires excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation needs on an on-call basis
• Perform mitigation/restoration per direction of Mitigation Project Manager
• Inventory and load work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project.
• May be asked to drive large company box truck to job site
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and equipment.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities.
• Leave job sites with a clean and orderly appearance.
• Communicate openly with crew chiefs and other technicians.
• Perform water mitigation, mold remediation, and other restoration activities as needed.
• Ensure accurate scopes and dry logs throughout the project.
• Take appropriate photo documentation of the project.
• Actively listen and utilize problem-solving skills to address client concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• IICRC certification (WRT) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in water damage restoration.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical ability assessment, and drug test.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in PPE, including respiratory protection.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour, Overtime Eligible. After hours on-call bonus or double time.
