Job summary

Rainbow Restoration of Sacramento is looking for a skilled and dependable Mitigation Technician to join our growing team in Sacramento, CA. This role involves helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and mold damage with hands-on restoration work.

Responsibilities include mitigating properties, extracting water, and documenting progress, while maintaining equipment and coordinating with owners, adjusters, and project managers. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in water damage mitigation or restoration.
• IICRC certification (WRT/ASD) is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate extraction equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document job site conditions accurately.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation and remediation services on residential and commercial properties.
• Extract standing water and set up drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and desiccants.
• Conduct moisture readings and document drying progress using industry-standard tools and software.
• Safely remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation as part of the mitigation process.
• Communicate professionally with property owners, adjusters, and project managers throughout the restoration process.
• Maintain, clean, and properly store all mitigation equipment and company vehicles.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekend assignments as needed.
