Job summary

PANHANDLE CLEANING & RESTORATION, INC. seeks a Remediation Technician to handle daily water mitigation cleanup, sewage back-ups, flooding, and related restoration tasks. You will be trained in water extraction, drying equipment setup, and restore operations under the Project Supervisor’s guidance.

You will report each shift, complete duties, and help preserve structural contents while ensuring safety and proper documentation. On-call weekends and after-hours rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work on-call after hours and weekends.
• Ability to report to the Project Supervisor at start of shift and follow restoration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond daily to water mitigation cleanup, sewage back-ups, flooding, and fire board-ups.
• Learn water extraction and operation of restoration equipment.
• Learn setup and operation of drying equipment.
• Report to Project Supervisor at start of each shift for assignments and complete tasks daily.
• Preserve structural items and contents according to supervisor's instructions.
• Communicate equipment and material needs to complete assignments on time.
• Direct laborers in restoration protocols and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain personnel documentation, hours worked, and tasks performed per shift.
• Engage in on-the-job safety practices and promote safety among crew.
• Be on on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend assignments.

Education

IICRC certifications preferred (WRT, FRT, Mold, CSDR/CSDS)

Education and Certification

Preferred industry certifications (not required): IICRC Certified Water Restoration Technician, IICRC Fire Restoration Technician, IICRC Certified Mold Remediation Technician, Council Certified Structural Drying Remediator/Supervisor (CSDR/CSDS). These are a plus; if not certified we will train and certify.

Remediation Technician – Key Responsibilities

• The RT will respond daily to water mitigation clean-up jobs, sewage back-ups, flooding, fire board-ups, and demolition jobs.
• The RT will be trained on water extraction and operation of equipment.
• The RT will learn how to set up and operate drying equipment.
• The RT is responsible for reporting to the Project Supervisor at the start of each shift for job assignments and completing assigned tasks daily.
• The RT completes the process of preserving structural items and contents according to the Project Supervisor’s instructions.
• The RT informs the Project Supervisor of the equipment and materials needed to complete the assignment properly and on schedule.
• The RT possesses the communication skills and experience to direct laborers in the restoration protocols.
• The RT is responsible for personnel documentation, hours, and work performed on a given shift.
• The RT practices on-the-job safety and encourages safety among the labor force.
• The RT will be included on an on‑call schedule and rotation for after‑hours and weekend assignments.
