Job Summary

Stephenson Restoration is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee disaster restoration projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes. As a full-service general contractor specializing in insurance restoration, we rely on our Project Managers to guide homeowners through the restoration process and oversee trade work on a variety of projects. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing project teams, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex restoration environments with a focus on client satisfaction.This is an position that is ideal for construction professionals eager to learn and grow within project management.

Required Knowledge, Experience, and Education:

Experience:

  • OSHA 10 Card (minimum)
  • 4 years relevant experience in residential and commercial construction in a management position
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale restoration projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record in managing project budgets, schedules, and teams.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of insurance restoration processes and compliance.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA), industry standards (IICRC), and local building codes.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, insurance claims, and change orders.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, but not required)

Primary Job Duties:

As a project manager in the rebuild division at Stephenson Restoration, you will oversee and manage the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful completion and client satisfaction. You will work closely with the team and external partners to deliver high-quality restoration services.

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee project teams, including foremen, coordinators, and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support to ensure smooth operations on-site.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client expectations are met throughout the project.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring costs are controlled and any potential overruns are communicated to stakeholders promptly.
  • Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Select and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular safety meetings and enforcing adherence to protocols.
  • Problem Solving and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project, including delays, scope changes, or unforeseen damage, to keep the project on track.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments to maintain project standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, budget reports, and change orders, and provide regular reports to the COO.
  • Contract and Change Order Management: Manage construction contracts, process change orders, and work closely with insurance adjusters to ensure proper documentation and approval of changes.
  • Project Closeout: Oversee final project inspections, ensure all punch-list items are addressed, and facilitate project closeout with the client.

Required Tools and Technology:

  • Project Management Software: Proficiency in using tools like Dash or Microsoft Project for scheduling, budgeting, and managing project resources.
  • Estimating Software: Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software for creating and managing project estimates.
  • Accounting and Budgeting Tools: Familiarity with QuickBooks or other financial software for tracking project costs and preparing financial reports.
  • Blueprint and Plan Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents using tools like AutoCAD or Bluebeam.
  • Communication Tools: Proficient with email platforms (e.g., Outlook) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams for team and client communication.
  • Mobile Devices: Use of smartphones and tablets for on-site management, communication, and documentation.
  • Document Management Systems: Experience with cloud-based storage platforms (SharePoint) for organizing and sharing project-related files.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
