We are looking for an experienced Mitigation Manager to lead day-to-day field operations for a growing restoration company. This is a mitigation-focused management position, covering water damage, fire damage, and mold remediation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage restoration crews, develop technicians, maintain equipment and vehicles, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
This is not a reconstruction or remodeling position. The focus is strictly on mitigation and emergency restoration services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily water, fire, and mold mitigation operations.
- Oversee field technicians and ensure jobs are properly scoped and executed.
- Review job documentation, moisture readings, photographs, notes, and drying records.
- Monitor drying progress and identify issues that could delay job completion.
- Maintain high standards for safety, PPE usage, quality, and customer service.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop restoration technicians.
- Develop Lead Technicians and Client Managers for future leadership opportunities.
- Manage employee performance and address performance issues when necessary.
- Maintain warehouse organization, inventory, equipment, and readiness.
- Oversee company mitigation vehicles, maintenance schedules, and fleet safety.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for emergency deployment.
- Track operational KPIs such as completed jobs, margins, drying times, documentation, and safety.
- Work closely with estimating and coordination teams regarding new jobs, estimates, and supplements.
- Participate in an after-hours emergency response rotation.
- Remain available for storm and large-loss response when required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous restoration management or mitigation management experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with water, fire, and mold mitigation.
- Experience leading and developing restoration technicians.
- Knowledge of IICRC S500 and S520 standards.
- Experience managing restoration equipment, vehicles, and warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Comfortable working in the field and responding to emergency situations.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in crawlspaces, attics, and other jobsite environments while wearing PPE.
Preferred Experience:
- Xactimate
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT
- Monday.com or similar restoration documentation platforms
- EOS or other structured business management systems
