Job summary

A major marine transportation company seeks an experienced Upper Miss, Lower Miss Pilot/Captain to steer vessels through the Mississippi waterways safely. Responsibilities include navigation, crew supervision, and compliance with maritime regulations. Ideal candidates will hold a Master of Towing Vessels license and have experience pushing barges. Qualifications

• Must meet USCG physical examination requirements.
• Ability to work 6 hours on / 6 hours off watch.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Navigate vessels safely along the Upper Mississippi and other tributaries.
• Supervise and lead the vessel's crew.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of each voyage.

Skills

Master of Towing Vessels upon Western Rivers license

Inland Waters or Near Coastal Endorsement

Experience pushing barges

Ability to work 28 days onboard

Valid driver's license
