Job summary

All on the Field (AOTF) seeks a State Operations Director to lead Mississippi canvass program operations, staffing, payroll, and logistics across DeSoto County, the Delta, and North Mississippi.

The role splits 50/50 between people operations and physical operations, supervising a Deputy Operations Director and an Operations Associate, with regular on-site presence required and minimal remote work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations, logistics, or program management.
• Experience scaling an organization quickly.
• Experience running logistics across a large geography.
• Experience managing an operations team.
• Volume recruitment experience.
• Campaign or field operations experience preferred.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and Justworks.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Own all operations for the Mississippi program: recruitment, onboarding, payroll, offices, supply, vendors, and compliance
• Build and run the recruitment pipeline at scale across job boards, local and community channels, and university and faith organization networks, maintaining 3 to 5 times active need against attrition
• Manage the state operations team, including the Deputy Operations Director and Operations Associate
• Source, lease, and set up multiple field offices and staging locations across the turf
• Own the onboarding pipeline through Justworks, including paperwork, background screening, payroll setup, and compliance, at program volume
• Own payroll: coordinate with field leadership to review and approve hours, process expenses and reimbursements, and meet every payroll deadline
• Project, order, and distribute supply across regions; manage inventory, replenishment, and end-of-program shutdown
• Handle HR matters, personnel escalations, and labor compliance questions
• Build and document the operational systems the program runs on
• Other operations work as the program requires
