Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to manage a portfolio of systems and support enterprise IPTs, ensuring system compliance and delivering certifications. You will translate user requirements and high-level architectures into detailed system specifications and lead design activities.

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph.
  • 14+ years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in mission-oriented programs.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of systems and support enterprise IPTs responsible for implementing system compliance controls.
  • Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations, and architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design and technology.
  • Develop system architecture and design documentation and engineering plans.
  • Interact with Government regarding SE considerations and issues; communicate with program personnel and executives.

Job Family:Technology ConsultingTravel Required:NoneClearance Required:Active Top Secret SCI with PolygraphWhat You Will Do:The Mission Systems Engineer will manage a portfolio of systems and support enterprise Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) responsible for implementing system compliance controls by generating requirements and approving controls and certifications. Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The Mission Systems Engineer analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Guiding users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.Providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.Develops technical documentation.Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.Has ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.What You Will Need:An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraphBachelor's degreeFOURTEEN (14) or more years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in mission-oriented programsWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Excel in written and oral communications with diverse stakeholders leveraging in-person, email, and virtual (video) channelsManage knowledge and workflow in Jira and Confluence toolsWork collaboratively with Integrated Product Teams to achieve architectural and software development solutionsParticipate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerationsDevelop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysisDerive from the system requirements an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectivenessThe annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00.
