Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Trainer for the Mission Software Directorate to plan, develop, maintain, and deliver technical training programs and documentation for complex mission software and integrated systems. The role requires translating technical data into accessible training for diverse user communities.

Initially supporting the C-sUAS E&I effort and future Layered Security System programs, the trainer will educate operators, maintainers, admins, ISSOs, and field personnel, ensuring

Qualifications

• BS with 4–8 years or MS with 2–6 years of relevant training experience.
• Experience independently planning, developing, and delivering technical training programs for complex technical products.
• Experience conducting training needs analyses and translating needs into structured training approaches and materials.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical training products, including user manuals, quick reference guides, and lab exercises.
• Experience updating training documentation in response to software releases and system upgrades.
• Experience translating complex technical information into clear, usable instructional content for multiple audiences.
• Experience managing training projects, including schedules, inputs, reviews, and milestones.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, SMEs, customers, and stakeholders to develop technically accurate training solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver technical training programs supporting Mission Software capabilities.
• Analyze training needs and develop appropriate solutions for operators, maintainers, system administrators, ISSOs, and field personnel.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, training materials, manuals, guides, reference materials, and practical exercises.
• Assess software releases and configuration changes for training impacts and update materials accordingly.
• Coordinate training and documentation schedules across supported programs and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, integration/test, field support, OEM, and government SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and feedback to improve content and delivery.
