Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer/Technician to troubleshoot and repair custom electronics for the U.S. Air Force.

You will work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to improve hardware and ensure mission readiness through rigorous testing and precise repairs. You will use lab diagnostic tools, maintain fault logs, and help develop improvement recommendations while adhering to lab safety and ESD standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with soldering surface mount components on printed circuit boards.
• Experience with cable repair.
• Experience with lab diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or TDRs.
• Knowledge of Lab Processes.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair custom designed electronics for the U.S. Air Force.
• Use lab diagnostic equipment to diagnose and maintain vital equipment for Aircraft Monitor and Control Testers.
• Maintain logs of faults and repair actions and generate ideas for improvements.
• Solder surface mount components and conduct cable repairs.
• Ensure compliance with ESD and lab safety standards.
