Job summary

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Maryland Heights, MO team, delivering next-generation Mission Planning software used by the Department of Defense. You will work in a Scrum team within a SAFe framework, focusing on microservices with JavaScript/React front-end and C# back-end services.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field, 5+ years of software development, U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance is essential.
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C#, C++, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps; version control with Git.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain weapon planning software throughout its lifecycle.
Collaborate with Product Owners to translate customer requirements into software designs.
Support development, enhancement, and integration of software functionalities and interfaces.
Create and maintain documentation for architectures, requirements, and design specs.
Debug, triage, and resolve issues to ensure continuous operation and performance.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and validation activities (unit/integration/system).
Contribute to software development processes, standards, and best practices.
Work with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers to meet objectives.
