U.S. Northern Command in Fort Bliss, TX seeks a Joint Fires Targeting Specialist for JTF-N, Directorate of Operations Targeting (J32). The role supports contingency and current operations planning with focus on lethal and on-lethal targeting.

The primary purpose of this position: To serve as a Joint Fires Targeting Specialist for Joint Taskforce North (JTF-N),Directorate of Operations Targeting (J32). Responsible for providing insight into mission area capabilities for lethal and on-lethal targeting in support of contingency, future, and current tactical and operational-level planning.
GS-11 The primary purpose of this position is: This is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of 5C-NC1498, Mission Integration Specialist, GS-0301-12. Incumbent works closely with the supervisor in performing duties identified in the full performance core personnel document.
Duties: Provides joint targeting expertise for strategic and operational planning and execution in support of JTF-N mission areas, including counter-transnational organized crime and intelligence/surveillance/reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Coordinates and leads JTF-N targeting efforts and product development through collaboration, working groups, and boards, ensuring a comprehensive range of options and capabilities to support JTF-N missions.
Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations, such as briefings and consultations, to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey operational information.
