Job summary

GliaCell Technologies in Maryland is seeking a Systems Engineer for a full-time role supporting a U.S. Government customer. The position focuses on sustaining critical mission software and systems with an emphasis on dataflow planning and secure, compliant architectures.

You will work with Confluence and Jira for documentation, own end-to-end data routes, and develop repeatable procedures. A TS/SCI with Polygraph, citizenship, and engineering degrees or equivalent experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in an engineering field with years of systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous Dataflow Plan Engineering: Synthesize high-level operational requirements into detailed, end-to-end dataflow plans–defining ingest points, transformation steps, security/compliance boundary crossings, and destination endpoints.
• Independent Problem Solution: Analyze and resolve complex dataflow routing issues where standardized documentation or procedures are insufficient or non-existent.
• Rapid Domain Acquisition: Independently research, analyze, and master new or unfamiliar systems and tools to address emerging operational needs.
• SOP Adaptation and Knowledge Capture: Leverage existing baseline documentation as a preliminary guide, while synthesizing tailor‑made solutions into formal, repeatable procedures and technical recommendations.
