Job summary

CHAOS Industries is redefining modern defense with a mission engineering team focused on rigorous statistical methodology for large-scale simulations and decision support. You will design experiments, build analytical pipelines, and push uncertainty quantification to deliver actionable insights across domains.

You will lead DOE, Bayesian methods, and surrogate modeling efforts, mentoring engineers and program staff while collaborating with DoD contractors and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Math, AI, or related field.
• 7+ years applying advanced statistical methods, ideally defense/tech.
• Deep expertise in experimental design, regression, Bayesian methods, UQ, surrogate modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries; MATLAB or R exposure.
• Experience building scalable analytical pipelines for terabyte-scale data.
• Strong data visualization and briefing-quality outputs.
• Solid software development practices and reproducible workflows.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Comfort with Linux and scalable scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous experimental constructs for large-scale simulation campaigns.
• Apply regression, Bayesian, surrogate modeling, and UQ to outputs.
• Build Python-based data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and visualization.
• Develop ML/surrogate models to accelerate analysis and planning.
• Set standards for data management and reproducibility.
• Translate questions into analytical approaches with engineers.
• Author technical reports and briefings for technical/non-technical audiences.
• Mentor teams on experimental design and methodology.
