Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a highly motivated Applied AI Engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy AI/ML capabilities across our product lines in defense-oriented environments. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to turn advanced research into reliable software, focusing on accuracy under adversarial and constrained conditions.

The role emphasizes production-quality software, model serving, data pipelines, and end-to-end lifecycle management,

Qualifications

BS/MS in a technical field (CS/Engineering/Math/Physics)
2+ years of software development experience
Strong Python programming skills
Experience with AI/ML model integration and deployment
Familiarity with APIs, containers, CI/CD, and edge deployment environments
Ability to learn unfamiliar domains quickly

Responsibilities

Build applied AI systems across CHAOS product lines, including model integration and inference services
Develop production-ready data pipelines and model lifecycle management
Evaluate model performance in adversarial and real-world conditions
Improve reliability with testing, observability, and benchmarking
Collaborate with product teams to translate research into deployable software
Move prototypes toward production with limited oversight
Manage time across discovery, implementation, and production support
Contribute to system reliability and performance tuning
