Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is seeking a driven Thrift Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a nonprofit thrift store. You will supervise staff and volunteers and drive revenue through retail excellence, donation management and community outreach.

You will oversee pricing, merchandising, cash handling and reporting to support the organization’s mission of helping neighbors in need, with a focus on dignity and opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous retail management experience required.
• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Strong team-based orientation.
• Knowledge of accounting and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and stand for eight hours.
• Experience with POS, sales and inventory systems a plus.
• Experience with volunteers in a nonprofit setting desirable.
• Ability to support Catholic-based, nonprofit mission.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor store operations to drive revenue and meet budgets.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise paid staff and volunteers; set schedules.
• Develop pricing and rotational strategies to maximize sales.
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions and voucher processing.
• Ensure merchandise quality, rotation, replenishment and cleanliness.
• Maintain daily sales records and prepare income reports.
• Curate displays for holidays and events; promote store in the community.
• Provide excellent customer service and lead by example.
• Address customer complaints in a courteous, timely manner.
