Job summary

Adaptic is seeking a Systems Engineer to turn complex mission needs into practical system solutions for DoD and Intelligence Community programs. You will define CONOPS, translate mission needs into technical requirements, and help shape the overall solution architecture across product teams.

You will work with customers, developers, project teams, and partners to ensure solutions meet technical and operational requirements throughout the full system lifecycle from concept to sustainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, plus relevant experience.
• Experience across conception, design, development, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance and support.
• Experience developing or working with system requirements, use cases, designs, interfaces, integration, or test activities.
• Ability to translate complex operational needs into clear technical requirements and solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration across customers, engineers, developers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define CONOPS, system requirements, use cases and perform high-level system design.
• Translate customer and mission needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Shape overall solution architecture and define performance, interface, and integration requirements.
• Develop installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
• Support lifecycle activities from concept through deployment, operations, maintenance and support.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and delivery.
• Communicate a shared technical and architectural vision across product teams.
• Coordinate with customers, development teams, and partners to align with mission objectives.
