Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in O'Fallon, IL is seeking an energetic Retail Cashier to join our OFallon IL Store - Auto Ct team. This hourly, full-time role focuses on delivering great customer service while operating the cash register and supporting store operations.

The position offers a starting hourly rate of $15.50 with bonus potential up to $250 per month, plus comprehensive benefits and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
Effective communication with coworkers, customers, and management.
Organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist on the sales floor, answer phones professionally.
Operate the store cash register: cash handling, credit card transactions, discounts and till balancing.
Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store area.
Request manager assistance for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
Uphold store cleanliness standards and safety practices.
Maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership; work cross-functionally.
