Job summary

Wellpath seeks a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive medical care to inmates at PA DOC Pine Grove SCI. This PRN role focuses on acute and emergency care, documentation in EMR, and coordination with physicians and mental health professionals.

The PA collaborates to ensure privacy, quality care, and adherence to protocols, with cross-coverage and psychiatric stability support as needed. This is a US-residency position with ongoing clinical development.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited education program for PAs.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a correctional/detention facility.
• Active US PA license and DEA registration.
• BLS and PALS certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with protocols.
• Consult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicated.
• Document findings using the SOAP method and EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Provide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessments.
