Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver acute and emergency inmate medical care in a correctional setting. The role involves consultations with physicians, patient transfers when needed, and careful documentation in EMR using the S.O.A.P.

method while upholding HIPAA standards. Candidates must complete an accredited PA program, have at least 2 years in corrections, and hold an unrestricted license with DEA, plus BLS and PALS through the AHA.

Qualifications

• PA program completed from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a correctional/detention facility.
• Unrestricted current license, DEA registration, and BLS/PALS certifications through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with facility protocols.
• Consult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicated.
• Document all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Provide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessments.
