Candidates must have an accredited PA degree, two years of experience in correctional settings, and current state licenses. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA education program.
• Previous correctional/detention facility experience; minimum of two (2) years.
• Unrestricted current license in state of practice; current DEA registration; current lifesaving BLS and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with protocols.
• Consult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicated.
• Document all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Provide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessments.
