Job summary

Wellpath is hiring a Phlebotomist to serve in a correctional care setting in the United States. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and assist with waived/moderate complexity testing under supervision, while maintaining QC and proper documentation.

The role requires high school diploma and Phlebotomy training, with preference for prior correctional experience. You will operate in a team that values compassion, collaboration, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy course.
• Prior experience in a correctional setting preferred.
• Unrestricted current certification or registration as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood specimens and conduct waived/moderate complexity testing.
• Maintain instrument QC and preventative maintenance; stay updated on policy changes.
• Maintain lab records and document invasive procedures and patient refusals.
• Ensure timely completion of labs and protect patient confidentiality with excellent service.
