Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant in Oregon to support the Medical Department. You will assist in patient care under RN supervision, perform clinical tasks, and help ensure smooth procedures in a fast-paced health care setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited CMA program and at least one year of clinical experience preferred. CPR certification may be required, and certification status depends on state/facility rules.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant where required by state or facility; CPR certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients by implementing established policies and procedures and ensuring safety.
• Verify medications, gather patient history, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
• Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises as per site policy.
• Maintain infection control, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and keep areas and equipment in good order.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings and follow the designated work schedule.
