Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patients for assessment and treatment.
• Assist medical clinician with office procedures.
• Sort incoming patient reports for clinician review.
• Clean and care for instruments and work areas; prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Send prescriptions under clinician direction to pharmacies or patients.
• Administer injections/immunizations/medications under clinician direction.
• Telephone counseling of patients under direct supervision.
• Respond to patient calls in a timely manner.
• Order and restock examination rooms with supplies.
• Schedule procedures and prioritize referrals.
• Document care/education/conversations provided to patients.
• Obtain pertinent information for referred patients.
• Convey a warm, caring environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain competency and track training for certification.
