Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical care delivery under RN supervision. You will gather information, assist with procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow.

The role emphasizes infection control, medication verification, patient history collection, and collaboration with nursing staff to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• CPR certification may be required by state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients by implementing established policies and procedures and intervening with proper techniques and safety precautions.
• Verify medications, gather patient history information, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
• Assist healthcare practitioners and respond to patient crises as per the site's policy and procedure.
• Adhere to infection control principles, provide emotional and physical comfort to patients, and maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training and adhere to the designated work schedule to ensure continuity of patient care and maintain the staffing matrix for the client.
