Qualifications

• Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current MA certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT).
• BCLS certification required (in-person training).
• Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies and ready meds/vaccines.
• Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care.
• Escort patients and manage flow to maximize efficiency.
• Take vitals, patient history, allergies and current concerns.
• Assist with in-office procedures and testing (EKG, Holter).
• Collect and process lab specimens and track results.
• Perform quality control on equipment and materials.
• Greet patients at front desk and verify insurance when needed.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure best patient outcomes.
