Job summary

Freedom House Thrift in Greensboro, NC seeks a Logistics and Pickup Assistant to support the Pickup and Logistics Manager in collecting donated furniture and large items. You will transport between donor homes, stores, and warehouse, and help bale clothing.

This role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and daytime Monday-Friday availability. Forklift certification is preferred but not required; CDL not needed.

Qualifications

• Must have daytime availability Monday–Friday.
• Able to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Clean driving record required (CDL not required).
• Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
• Supportive of Freedom House's Christian mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading furniture donations from donor homes.
• Safely transport items between donor sites, stores, and warehouse.
• Help process and bale clothing for distribution or recycling.
• Communicate professionally with donors, representing Freedom House.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in trucks/warehouse.
• Perform other related tasks as directed by Pickup/Logistics Manager.
