Job summary

Freedom House Thrift in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Logistics and Pickup Assistant to support the Pickup and Logistics Manager in collecting and transporting donated furniture and large items. This role also assists with baling clothing and transporting between store locations and warehouse.

Candidates must have daytime availability Monday–Friday, and a clean driving record. The position is physical and requires teamwork and a positive attitude aligned with Freedom House's Christian mission.

Qualifications

• Daytime availability Monday–Friday.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Punctual, dependable, and respectful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading furniture donations from donor homes.
• Safely transport items between donor sites, stores, and warehouse.
• Help process and bale clothing for distribution or recycling.
• Communicate professionally with donors, representing Freedom House with respect and gratitude.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in trucks and warehouse areas.
• Perform other related tasks as directed by the Pickup/Logistics Manager.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Logistics and Pickup Assistant to support our Pickup and Logistics Manager in the collection and transportation of donated furniture and other large items. This individual will also assist in transporting and baling clothing donations between our store locations and warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires a positive attitude, team spirit, and commitment to the mission of Freedom House. Candidates must have daytime availability Monday-Friday.
