Job summary

St. Benedict at Auburndale Catholic High School seeks an organized Athletic Director to lead our interscholastic program. The role reports to the Principal and oversees scheduling, compliance, coach supervision, facilities, and budget in a Catholic Benedictine context.

The ideal candidate upholds faith-based values, ensures student-athlete academic integrity, and promotes fair play and good sportsmanship across all seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in athletics or school administration.
• Proven successful athletic record.
• Familiarity with TSSAA regulations and Title IX compliance.
• Valid driver's license; some travel required.
• Ability to complete diocesan background checks and Safe Environment training.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, compliance, coach supervision, facilities and budget.
• Lead program culture with fair play, sportsmanship and academic integrity.
• Monitor coaches and volunteers; ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Develop budget for athletic department and manage equipment and facilities.
• Support student-athletes with college recruitment and community relations.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with Principal and school leadership.
