Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a communications professional to plan, write, edit, and design content for staff communications channels and centralized updates. You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with branding, while supporting executive and external communications efforts.

The role involves developing trauma‑informed messaging, analyzing engagement metrics, and coordinating both in‑person and virtual events to engage staff

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in communication, public relations, marketing, or related programs.
  • Must communicate clearly through multiple mediums to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in the non-profit or government sector is strongly preferred, especially in homelessness or healthcare.
  • Experience coordinating workforce communication messaging in medium to large organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, edit, and design content for internal staff communications channels.
  • Centralize and communicate organizational initiatives, program updates, and project status to staff and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver on organizational communication strategy with clear messaging.
  • Align external communications with audiences via website and services like FindHelp and 211.
  • Create trauma-informed and culturally appropriate messaging.
  • Coordinate with Executive Office on organizational messaging and meetings.
  • Collect, analyze, and report monthly engagement metrics for leadership feedback.
  • Plan and execute internal and external events, including grand openings and memorials, and support other events.
  • Plan and execute virtual events and manage backend webinar tools (Zoom, Teams) and engagement tools.
