Job summary

Indian Health Service is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized lab testing across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology and immunohematology. You will interpret results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accuracy with quality control and calibration procedures.

The role includes specimen collection, handling, and documentation while supporting accreditation and regulatory standards within a federal healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology with NAACLS accreditation or equivalent.
• Full four-year program including clinical experience required.
• Possess required knowledge of chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology and blood bank testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, immunology and immunohematology.
• Interpret and verify test results, troubleshoot discrepancies and instrument malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.
• Collect, prepare and evaluate patient specimens with proper handling and documentation; perform quality control and calibration tasks.
