Job summary

The Moran Company, in partnership with Employment Horizons, Inc., seeks a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to guide the organization’s financial strategy and controls across New Jersey. The CFO will drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audits, and compliance while partnering with senior leadership to ensure long-term sustainability.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's in business/finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting/financial management and 2+ years of management; MBA/MPA/CPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years in accounting/financial management and 2+ years in management.
• MBA/MPA/CPA preferred.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, financial modeling, and systems analysis.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Nonprofit or mission-driven experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, grant tracking, and compliance.
• Oversee daily accounting and finance operations and strengthen internal controls.
• Develop analytics and reports to support strategic decision‑making and resource planning.
• Collaborate with CEO, Board, and staff to ensure accountability and transparency.
