Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Wyoming is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, reserves, and regulatory compliance for a Wyoming-only nonprofit health plan with ~315 employees. This executive role balances margin with mission while partnering with regulators, auditors, and the board.

Responsibilities include close oversight of accounting, treasury, and investments, plus collaboration with actuaries on premium rates and MLR management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• MBA, Master's preferred; CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in senior financial leadership within health plans or nonprofit corporate health plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy sustaining margin, reserves, and mission.
• Partner with actuary on rate development and filings; ensure reserves and MLR integrity.
• Oversee accounting, SAP/GAAP close, and statutory reporting (NAIC) and audits.
• Direct treasury, liquidity, and investments within regulatory guidelines.
• Lead annual budget, multi-year plan, and KPI reporting for governance bodies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management across financial operations.
