Job summary

Defense Unicorns seeks a Mission Director of Project Management to own end-to-end Army-focused contracts, shape opportunities, and drive revenue growth. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risk, and ensure portfolio outcomes from discovery through delivery.

You will work across BD, contracting, and delivery, traveling 25-40% to engage stakeholders, while leveraging cloud-native, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices to deliver secure software solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience within Army Aviation or a closely related defense environment.
• Strong understanding of the culture, mission, stakeholders, and terminology within the domain.
• Experience in military operations, government program management, acquisition, contracting, business development, or defense industry leadership.
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition, including contract vehicles, acquisition strategies, and negotiations.
• Willingness to operate across BD, contracting, staffing, and execution, driving critical work while leading teams.
• Able to travel approximately 25-40%.

Responsibilities

• Own a quota and grow a diversified portfolio of business.
• Lead opportunities through proposal, negotiation, and contract award.
• Serve as the program leader for new contracts through execution.
• Manage delivery risks, scope changes, and mission outcomes.
• Define and build the team required to execute each contract.
