Job summary

Vantor is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to lead human-centered design for mission‑critical government applications. You will drive end-to-end UX and UI work, from research and analysis through prototyping and delivery, balancing research rigor with high‑quality visual design in secure government environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design, HCI, psychology, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience.
• Experience conducting UX research, analysis, and synthesis (not UI-only).
• Strong proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
• Experience collaborating with product managers and engineering teams.
• Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and research findings to stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite full time in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX and UI design, from user research to delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ground designs in user needs.
• Define and evolve design systems and component libraries with engineering.
• Create service blueprints and experience maps for cross‑functional alignment.
• Develop interactive prototypes using Figma, XD, or similar tools and ensure accessibility standards are met.
