SAIC has an immediate need for a Software Testing Engineer to support the Precision Fires team at Huntsville, AL on site at Redstone Arsenal. The role focuses on developing test plans, crafting test cases, and executing tests to ensure defect-free software and IT systems.

Ideal candidates will have a BS degree with five years of experience (or six years alternative), an active Secret clearance, and strong communication and analytical skills to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree with five (5) years of experience; six (6) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
• Active Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Understanding of software test methodologies and ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Assist the development of test plans, test schedule, and approach for all testing environments.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Perform tests of software and IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Support verification activities on work products using defined methods and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.
• Support analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
• Document and report progress on problem resolution to management.
