Job summary

Visionist Inc. is seeking a Software Product Lead on our largest PRIME contract, requiring Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph.

You will guide a critical software product across the full lifecycle, from customer engagement to deployment and sustainment, leading engineering teams to deliver capabilities quickly and effectively. Based at Fort Meade, MD, you will translate mission needs into technical solutions, evaluate AI models and architectures, and shape product direction while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (additional 4 years may substitute degree).
• 12 years of experience in software development.
• Experience building, leading, and mentoring engineering teams with diverse technical backgrounds.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with customers and end users to gather requirements and drive adoption of technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications serving hundreds to thousands of users.
• Production-grade software development experience in Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience architecting, developing, and deploying software systems from concept to production.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform.
• Work with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to identify automation opportunities.
• Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options.
• Advise customers on AI investment strategies and resource allocation.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and best practices.
• Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams, defining requirements and tracking execution against objectives.
