Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer in Texas to join a team building mission-critical applications used in launch production and Starlink services. You will own software from design through deployment, collaborate across teams, and ship solutions that scale in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Ideal candidates have full stack experience, strong skills in Python/Java/Go, and proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience.
• Experience in full stack development and delivering production software.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, testing, and software design principles.
• Experience with version control and modern development workflows.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes and UNIX-like systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create new applications to improve SpaceX operations.
• Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify constraints.
• Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
• Analyze users' problems to create efficient solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews.
